Vision2Reality is seeking partners interested in expanding the Strategy Execution body of knowledge and helping organizations succeed using our simple, yet effective web based V2R software and "No Excuses" process. Huge opportunities exist in all organizations to close their Strategy Execution Gap yielding improved returns on every strategic initiative they are attempting to implement.
A challenge for the Vision2Reality team continues to be the lack of a defined market for formal Strategy Execution. Ironically, all organizations recognize the magnitude of their inability to implement strategic initiatives in a timely and effective manner. Yet these organizations are unwilling to address their strategy execution problems directly though adoption and implementation of a formal process.
Project Management (PM)
Project Management is a well-defined software market with numerous competitors. Project Management is an excellent tool that all organizations should use to improve the execution of their project plans. However, project management is project centric and is not a good tool for achieving associate level accountability. "No Excuses" Strategy Execution is associate centric and used to achieve individual accountability for execution of all assigned project goals or tasks along with all other strategic initiatives essential to executing an organization's strategy.
Business Performance Management (BPM)
Business Performance Management (BPM) is another well-defined software market that is very competitive. Most Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems have integrated BPM solutions that are driven by ongoing business transactions. Measuring a company's metric performance within each of the Balanced Scorecard categories is a subset of BPM and is also another good business practice.
Unfortunately, BPM is only the beginning of Strategy Execution. Business metrics identify variance from plan. Strategy Execution identifies the corrective action and continuous improvement opportunities required to improve the metric performance measured by BPM. Strategy Execution requires the translation, assignment and management of associate level goals that when achieved, will improve the BPM metrics. Formal Strategy Execution is an excellent business process that supports the attainment of both project goals and improvement of BPM metrics.
Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
The Vision2Reality market challenge is analogous to the creation of the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) market. Prior to Seibel breaking away from Oracle and launching his own company (Seibel Systems) targeted to improve customer relationships, the CRM problem existed, but the CRM market and solution did not exist. Seibel, an Oracle sales executive, was successful creating the CRM market and satisfying the need with his hugely successful Seibel Systems software and consulting solutions. Today CRM software has been replicated, improved and integrated into every ERP system on the planet. The CRM market today is so mature most software solutions have become commoditized. Seibel Systems was acquired by Oracle, but remains the best-of-breed CRM solution.
Generic Process
Another struggle Vision2Reality has had creating a well-defined market focused on improving strategy execution in organizations is that our "No Excuses" process is generic. The V2R user interface makes it easy to custom tailor the software to drive the strategy execution process for any type of organization. This go to market strategy has not been focused and is like trying to "boil the ocean".
A market opportunity exists to partner with an organization within a specific industry and custom tailor a set of strategy execution best practices. These industry specific best practices could be translated into associate centric goals that are custom tailored for each competitor within that industry.
Another opportunity is to partner with an ERP provider or quality systems integrator to develop a set of strategy execution best practices that drive the successful execution of their ERP or quality centric initiatives.
Revcor Is First
Like anything new, there are not many revolutionaries out there that are willing to assume the early adopter's risk and go first. Revcor has already taken the early adopter's risk by pro-actively using the "No Excuses" process to drive accountability for strategic projects, quality management, safety initiatives, Value Added Pay (VAP) and associate performance.
